I’m Romney, a fourth-generation Alaskan, and for over thirty years I’ve made art inspired by the wildlife, landscapes, and the people that call Alaska home.

These days, I'm probably best known for my “rescues” — vintage taxidermy fish and animal mounts that once hung with pride on a fisher or hunter’s wall, only to be cleared out of an estate and headed for the landfill. From my downtown Anchorage studio, I give them new life: a salmon bursting with color, a moose peeking through a stand of birch.
