For more than 34 years, I've made art with one simple goal: to create work that makes people happy.

I'm a fourth-generation Alaskan, and the landscapes, wildlife, and people of this place have shaped everything I create. My work celebrates the movement, color, and character of Alaska—from schools of salmon and birch forests to rescued vintage fish mounts given a second life through paint.

My journey began in 1991, painting ceramics at craft fairs. Since then I've worked across many different surfaces and mediums, always following the same curiosity: What can I make beautiful next?

Today I paint original artwork, create aluminum wall sculptures, design large-scale public and commercial installations, and work one-on-one with collectors on commissioned pieces. Every design begins as an original painting in my Anchorage studio before becoming part of the Romney Designs collection.

I love bold color, graphic pattern, and artwork that brings a sense of joy into everyday spaces. Whether it's a single fish on a cabin wall or an installation of hundreds of fish flowing through a restaurant, my hope is that every piece invites people to pause, smile, and look a little closer.
